Welcome to Word Bank, The Power of Words! This teacher-developed vocabulary curriculum has been proven to increase students’ knowledge of Greek and Latin word roots, suffixes and prefixes, and recognition of new vocabulary in context. Used originally to boost schoolwide vocabulary development and reading comprehension at Santa Maria High School, Word Bank, The Power of Words has helped students raise their vocabulary scores on both the Pre- and Post-Assessments that accompany this program and STAR tests over the past several years.

In addition to being used for schoolwide vocabulary development in a number of middle and secondary schools, Word Bank, The Power of Words is currently serving as a quality supplemental vocabulary curriculum in home schools, adult education, individual classrooms, or departments as well.
